Craze
10,99 € *
zzgl. 1,49 € Versand

Freddie Francis (Tales From The Crypt, Torture Garden) apparently didn’t care much for this, his 1974 assignmentfor the Kandel and Cohen production house – even going so far as to describe it as “worse than Trog” We at Nucleus, however, disagree: Craze is a slice of prime British horror sleaze, ripe for rediscovery. It’s got everything! It’s got Jack Palance (Dracula, Torture Garden, Hawk The Slayer) pretending to be English, exclaiming “Jeezus Christ Almighty!” and picking up dolly birds in funky psychedelic nightspots! It’s got Martin Potter (Goodbye Gemini, Satan’s Slave, Cruel Passion) as his paranoid, hard-drinking gay business partner, Julie Ege (Creatures the World Forgot, Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires) and Kathleen Byron (Twins of Evil) as ritual victims, and Michael Jayston (Thriller, Quiller, Tales that Witness Madness) Percy Herbert (The Fiend, Black Snake) and David Warbeck (The Beyond, The Black Cat) as a trio of grumpy fl atfoot coppers! It’s got Suzy Kendall (Up The Junction, Bird with the Crystal Plumage, Torso) as a curly-wigged hooker with a jaw-dropping sex-aid collection, and Trevor Howard, Diana Dors, Hugh Gri th and Edith Evans (you KNOW who they are), slumming it in late-career cameos! Not convinced? How about a homage to Peeping Tom (though we’re not telling you where, so you have to buy it) an occult coven in purple robes chanting “armuneminuum” and a series of ghastly, grisly, gory, gruesome deaths? Or, best of all, how about Chuko, the ugliest, most googly-eyed fetish idol ever seen on-screen? Seriously, this doll makes both Hammer’s Charlie Boy and the Zuni from Trilogy Of Terror look handsome by comparison. Let him into your life (even better, let this beautifully re-mastered disc into your player) and the rewards are plenty - but they don’t come cheap. As the song says, “it’s no sacrifi-i-iiiice...”

Here are 12 episodes of the adventures of an English journalist in the American West of the 1870s in this show from the golden age of radio. Frontier Gentleman was a radio western series aimed at adults that aired on CBS radio for one season in 1958. It starred radio veteran John Dehner as J. B. Kendall, a reporter for the London Times. The series followed the adventures of the freelance journalist as he roamed the western United States in search of stories for his newspaper. Kendall often crossed paths with well-known historical figures, such as Jesse James, Calamity Jane, and Wild Bill Hickok. And to survive in those turbulent times, he became as proficient with a gun as he was with a pen. The announcer opened each show with the following: "Herewith, an Englishman's account of life and death in the West. As a reporter for the London Times, he writes his colorful and unusual accounts. But as a man with a gun, he lives and becomes a part of the violent years in the new territories. Now, starring John Dehner, this is the story of J. B. Kendall, frontier gentleman." Frontier Gentleman was written, produced, and directed by Anthony Ellis. The supporting cast included Harry Bartell, Lawrence Dobkin, Virginia Gregg, Joseph Kearns, Jack Moyles, and Vic Perrin. Music was by Wilbur Hatch and Jerry Goldsmith. This collection includes the following episodes: "A Meeting with Sitting Bull" (9 Feb 58), "The Claim Jumpers" (9 Mar 58), "The Actress" (23 Mar 58), "Aces and Eights" (20 Apr 58), "Duel for a School Marm" (1 Jun 58), "Sheriff Belljoy's Prisoner" (8 Jun 58), "The Well" (15 Jun 58), "A Wagon Full of Cats" (10 Aug 58), "The Fastest Gun That Never Was" (17 Aug 58), "A Horse for Kendall" (14 Sep 58), "The Preacher" (19 Oct 58), and "The Rainmaker" (26 Oct 58). 1. RoboCop - Steelbook

PART MAN, PART MACHINE, ALL COP RoboCop, from Orion Pictures, marked director Paul Verhoeven’s (Flesh + Blood) Hollywood debut and instantly became an enduring sci-fi/action classic when it landed in theaters in the summer of 1987. Verhoeven’s peerlessly exciting and kinetic visuals were matched by a sharp script, iconic cast and exceptional special effects by Rob Bottin (The Thing) and Phil Tippett (The Empire Strikes Back). The film takes place in Detroit in the not-too-distant future. Heroic cop Alex Murphy (Peter Weller, The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai) is gunned down in the line of duty, only to be resurrected as RoboCop – a cybernetic mix of spare human parts and Motor City steel, and the latest defense against crime designed by the all-powerful OCP Corporation. As RoboCop’s memories of his former life as Murphy resurface, only his ex-partner (Nancy Allen, Dressed To Kill) stands beside him to fight against the vicious thugs responsible for his death, as well as a nefarious top-level OCP executive orchestrating the chaos from above. Unsurpassably thrilling, unexpectedly moving and unforgettably hilarious in equal measure, the future of law enforcement is back in a definitive Blu-ray™ presentation packed with hours of brand new bonus features.
